Featherweights Candelabra - Kyiv, Ukraine
Made for Benjamin Clementine's final live performance. The sculpture was created in Brooklyn, and installed in Kyiv while the city was enduring frequent Russian missile and drone attacks. Ukrainian airspace being closed, Benjamin and the team took an overnight train from Poland to Kyiv. There, they rehearsed with a Ukrainian Orchestra, rebuilt the candelabra, installed the stage, and executed the performance all in one day. The aluminum "feathers," designed to shiver in response to sub-bass frequencies, mirrored the brutal bombardment Kyiv had been facing, and echoed key concepts of family and childbirth from Benjamin's forthcoming album.
Parsody for Madonna, The Celebration Tour
A set of artisanal rings designed and handcrafted in Brooklyn for Madonna's celebration tour - a retrospective of her four-decades long career.
The jewelry compositions explored themes of internal-external contrast, shadowed artistic influence, and baroqueness.
The full set of rings was completed slightly over 24 hours before opening night at the O2 arena in London.
Madonna's Celebration Tour concluded with a record-breaking free concert on May 4, 2024, at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, drawing an estimated 1.6 million attendees—the largest crowd ever for a standalone concert.
